Jake Carson scored three of the Vikings’ four touchdowns on short runs as the undefeated Vikings (4-0) overpowered the Bulldogs (1-3) in Portland.
The Vikes jumped out to 20-0 lead at halftime, with Carson delivering two touchdowns on two 3-yard rushes. Lincoln Merrill snatched a 58-yard pass from quarterback Brady Truman and ran it in for a touchdown.Truman completed 19 of his 29 passes for 303 yards
Portland collected an unanswered touchdown in the third quarter.
But Carson scored in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard rush. Portland responded with a TD when Wani Remi came across after collecting a 3-yard pass from Louis Thurston.
