YARMOUTH — Oxford Hills scored six runs in the second inning and four in the third to run away with an 11-0, five-inning victory over Yarmouth in a softball season opener Friday.

Maddy Miller earned the shutout in the circle for the Vikings, needing just 69 pitches to get through five innings.

Allyson Day had a pair of RBI singles, Miah Gallan hit a two-run single in the second and a sacrifice fly in the third, and Liz Dieterich added an RBI double in the third. Gallan capped the scoring in the fifth after hitting a single, as she moved to second on Trinity Bernard’s walk and then stole both third and home.
