The Knights scored eight runs in the first inning, four in the second and six in the third to beat the Capers at Cape Elizabeth.

Nicole Rioux hit a home run and a double and drove in four runs for Poland. She also scored three runs, as did Olivia Rioux, Phoebe Paradis and Emma Martin. Paradis also drove in five runs, including three on a bases-clearing triple in the first inning.

Khloe O’Leary pitched all three innings for the Knights and struck out three batters while allowing four hits.

Sophia Chung homered and Shyla McVeigh hit a triple for Cape, which scored its runs in the first inning.
