Penobscot jumped ahead quickly, as Williams and Oakes scored just 26 seconds apart to make it 2-0 just 1:16 into the game. Meghan Delahanty increased the lead to 3-0 later in the first, and Williams put in a rebound early in the second.
The Portland co-op cut into the deficit on goals by Marina Bassett and Libby Hooper in the third period, but Oakes and Williams answered in the final 2:10.
