Brayden Thompson’s double-double led the Lakers (1-5) to their first win of the season, a convincing 56-26 takedown of the Vikings in Vinalhaven.
Thompson scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Anthony Whittier finished one rebound shy of a double-double, tallying 10 points and nine rebounds. Sam Morrill made two 3-pointers and racked up 14 points for Rangeley.
Three players scored for Vinalhaven: Ira Stockman netted 13 points, Hunter Hamilton had seven and Anthony Roberts had six.
