The Hawks overcame a 13-run first inning by the Patriots to earn a win in Gray in their first game of the season.
Sacopee Valley (1-0) scored eight runs in the top of the first and nine in the fifth.
Brianna Eastman and Lindsey Fox led the Hawks with four hits apiece. Eastman also drove in five runs, and two of her hits were doubles. Emma Boulanger (three hits) Julia Tuthill and Caroline Cyr also doubled.
Audrey Getchell and Mackenzie Gervais each drove in five runs for Gray-New Gloucester (0-3). Valerie Farrar tallied five hits, Gervais and Ryenne Grant had three and Audrey Getchell and Destiny Ayers had two apiece.
