Dylan Hannan notched two goals and two assists, and South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete (10-5) scored two short-handed goals at Auburn’s Norway Savings Bank Arena while handing the Red Eddies (13-1) their first loss of the season.
Cullen Adams and Tobey Lappin each added a goal and two assists, helping the Red Riots build a 5-0 lead before Campbell Cassidy scored for Edward Little late in the second period.
Roan Hopkins and Richard Gilboy were the other goal scorers for South Portland. Jasper Curtis stopped 23 of 24 shots.
