ST. DOMINIC 6, MT. VIEW 1, 5 INNINGS

SAINTS SWEEP MUSTANGS: The Saints (7-0) took both five-inning games from the Mustangs (2-4) winning 9-1 in Game 1 and 6-1 in Game 2 in Auburn.

Kathleen Dean pitched a gem in the opener, striking out 12 and allowing one hit in five innings.

The Saints’ offense opened the first game scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning and adding two more in the second. They tacked on three more runs in the fourth.

Sidney Dick had three hits for the Saints, while Cami Casserly, and Bella Perryman each had multiple hits in the win. Dean stole three bases, and the Saints as a team swiped 12.

Mt. View scored its run in the top of the third.

In the second game, Dean had a double to drove in two runs in a five-run top of the fifth inning.

Casserly had two hits in the game and Perryman stole three bases. As the team, the Saints had nine stolen bases.

Dean earned the win again, allowing one run on six hits and striking out 10 batters.

St. Dom’s took a 1-0 lead in the fourth and Mt. View tied the game in the bottom of the fourth.
