The Cougars scored 10 runs in the third inning, led by Nikole Turnbull’s four RBIs, in the win over the Panthers in Dixfield.
Lana Waite hit a home run for Dirigo (3-1) and also pitched three innings with five strikeouts. Keira Reny hit two doubles, and Emily Woods, Turnbull, Waite and Reny each had two hits. Abby Luczynski, Hannah Hamner and Turnbull each hit a triple.
Maddy Martin pitched three innings for Waterville (1-5).
