Joey Pompeo scored four goals as the Stags (13-3-2) clinched the No. 1 seed in the South playoffs by defeating Biddeford/Thornton Academy/Kennebunk/Wells (13-5) at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland.
Briella Doherty got the other goal for the three-time defending state champions, who are ranked third in the Varsity Maine Top 5. The Biddeford co-op is ranked fourth.
