Isabelle Tice scored 20 of her 23 points in the second half, and Marshwood withstood a furious comeback bid by Gorham in a 56-52 girls basketball win Tuesday night in Gorham.
Marshwood (12-5) led 40-22 at halftime, but Gorham pulled to within one possession in the fourth quarter before the Hawks closed out the win with the help of three Tice free throws.
Natalie Lathrop (13 points) and Renee St. Pierre (11) also scored in double figures for Marshwood.
Gorham was paced by Logan Doughty with 19 points, Madison Milligan with 11 and Zoe Dellinger with 10.
