The sixth-seeded Bulldogs (13-6) opened the game with a 20-2 run and advanced to the Class A South quarterfinals with a victory over the 11th-seeded Navigators (7-12) at the Portland Expo.

Portland’s defense turned several steals into fast-break layups in the first eight minutes. Loic Ramazani scored seven of his 19 points in the opening quarter.

Falmouth got as close as six points in the fourth quarter after a 12-2 run before the Bulldogs closed out the victory. Portland next faces third-seeded South Portland on Saturday afternoon at the Expo.

Connor Gooch led the Navigators with 21 points. Dominic Hau added 14.

Portland got nine points from Maddox Meas and eight apiece from Lucas LeGage and Ephraim Luseko.
