EDWARD LITTLE 10, GREELY 4

Two prolific innings boosted the Red Eddies over the Rangers in Auburn.

The Red Eddies scored a run in the bottom of the first then exploding for five in the second to take a 6-0 lead. They added four more in the fifth inning, capped by a two-run single by freshman Richie Norgren.

The win is Edward Little’s (4-2) fourth straight — the Eddies have scored 10 or more runs in all four — while the loss is the first of the season for the Rangers (4-1), who are ranked third in the Varsity Maine poll.

Norgren led Edward Little’s offense with two hits and two RBI. Evan Scott, another freshman, also drove in two runs. Scott, Brooks Beaudry, Adam Meserve and Tallen Berry-Hart each scored twice. Starting pitcher Max Kimble earned the win, striking out six and scattering four hits over six innings on the mound.

Jarrett Bush (two RBI) and Ben Kyles (RBI) had two hits apiece for Greely, while Sylas Almy and Connor Skillin each doubled.
