Will Baker and Liam Kalakowsky both had two hits and two RBI, leading the Stags (6-1) past the Red Storm (5-2) in Portland.
Scarborough erased a 4-1 deficit and tied the game in the top of the fifth, but Cheverus regained the lead with a run in the bottom of the fifth, then tacked on two more in the sixth.
Patrick Guite was 3 for 3 with two doubles and three RBI for Scarborough. Joe Donahue also doubled twice and scored two runs.
Colton Jewett got the win in relief of Ben Dumais, allowing two hits and one run over the final 2 1/3 innings. He struck out four.
