Max Hayward struck out 12 and allowed just two hits through six innings, leading the Capers (6-3) past the Falcons (4-5) in Freeport.
Hayward also was 2 for 3 at the plate with RBI and two runs scored. Caiden Johnson paced the offense with a single, a double and four RBI.
Andrew Thomas and Dylan Meinert got the only hits for Freeport.
