Grady Hreben and Caldre Glowa each had two hits during a 12-run fifth inning as the Black Bears (10-1) turned an 11-10 deficit into a mercy-rule win over the Bulldogs (2-9) in Madison.
Maranacook trailed 7-4 after a wild first inning, then fell behind again with Madison scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by Bobby Vigue’s two-run double.
The fifth-inning outburst included seven hits, four walks and two hit batters.
Hreben and Glowa each finished with three hits. Hreben belted two doubles, as did Jack Spellman.
Griffin Dickey had a two-run single for Madison in the first inning.
