OXFORD HILLS 4, BANGOR 0

Kyeria Morse hit a two-run home run and pitched a one-hit shutout as the top-seeded Vikings (15-2) took out the eighth-seeded Rams (8-9) in a Class A North quarterfinal in Paris.

Oxford Hills will host No. 5 Hampden (11-6) in the semifinals Saturday.

After Peyton Cleveland led off the bottom of the first with a single, Morse belted a homer to center field to give the Vikings a 2-0 advantage.

Morse, who struck out three batters in the top of the first, then went to work protecting that lead. She finished with 12 strikeouts and allowed only one walk over seven innings.

Cleveland also doubled and scored twice, and Samantha McPhail had two hits and drove in a run for Oxford Hills.

Emma Tripp had Bangor’s only hit. She also pitched four innings (two strikeouts in four innings) and combined with Kaylee Folsom (four strikeouts in two innings) to limit the Vikings to six hits.
