Janessa Moffitt pitched a four-hitter with 15 strikeouts and belted a home run, leading the third-seeded Tigers (14-2) to a Class D South quarterfinal win over the No. 6 Cavaliers (5-12) in Jackman.
Moffitt took a shutout into the seventh inning, when she gave up three unearned runs. She issued only one walk.
At the plate, Moffitt was 2 for 4 with two RBI and two runs. All 11 players who batted for Forest Hills got at least one hit, including two each by Shelby Veilleux, Addison Chiasson and Emma Vining.
Ayvah Clark hit a double for Valley.
