Orrin Culp Dechant homered, doubled and drove in two runs to lead the Wildcats (8-7) past the Patriots (3-11) in York.
Dom Grover and Robbie Hanscom both belted triples for York. Hanscom also pitched four innings of relief, striking out six batters while allowing one hit and one run. He and starter Henry Ober combined to hold Gray-New Gloucester to three hits.
Gage Rioux and Jacob Mulry each had a hit and an RBI for the Patriots, who cut York’s lead to 5-4 with three runs in the top of the fourth and one in the fifth, but the Wildcats responded with a run in the bottom of the fifth and two more in the sixth inning.
