The Vikings (1-0) opened their season with five runs in the first three innings on their way to a win over the Broncos (0-1) in Paris.
Gunner Truman doubled and drove in a run, while Jacoby Boyce had two of Oxford Hills’ six hits. Tucker Hilden pitched the first three innings, striking out six batters, to earn the win.
Hilden and relievers Carson Stevens and Logan Norris held Hampden to three hits. Ashton O’Roak had two of those, a double and a single.
