The Cougars (7-7) started fast, scoring 10 runs over the first three innings, and dealt the Black Bears (14-2) only their second loss of the season in a Class C South contest in Dixfield.
Dirigo scored three runs in the first, three in the second and four in the third to lead 10-2 after three innings.
Trevor Crosby and Caden Hutchinson both recorded three hits and an RBI for the Cougars, while Ty LaPointe drove in three runs, highlighted by a two-run double in the second inning, and Clark Averill singled twice and had three RBI. Dirigo finished with 10 hits and drew 13 walks.
Crosby earned the win with six strikeouts in six innings for the Cougars, who have won four straight.
Maranacook smacked 13 hits, including three apiece by Noah Longfellow, Grady Hreben and Carter Nelson, and two by Jack Spellman. Longfellow also drove in two runs.
