Grady Hreben pitched a 14-strikeout one-hitter, and Maranacook earned its 12th straight win by taking down Winthrop 9-2 on Wednesday in Winthrop.
Hreben didn’t allow walk or an earned run. The Black Bears (13-1) supported him with 13 hits, including two apiece by Will Watson, Caldre Glowa, Cam Jones and Carter Nelson, who had a team-best two RBI. Hreben contributed a hit, a run and an RBI, while Noah Longfellow doubled and scored twice.
Clyde Moody’s double was the only hit for the Ramblers’ (6-7). He also drove in a run and scored one.
