Jake Harmon went 4 for 5 with a home run and five RBI to lead the Mustangs (9-1) to a six-inning victory over the Falcons (5-3) in Rumford.
Among Harmon’s four hits were a two-run homer and a two-run single. He also scored a team-high three runs. Noah Schultz was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI, while Rory Foyt drove in three runs, and Logan LeClair singled twice.
Three Monmouth pitchers combined for a one-hitter. Kyle LePage struck out three in 3 2/3 innings, Jacobi Apodaca fanned three in 1 2/3 innings and Logan LeClair go the final two outs and struck out one.
Josh Pollis had Mountain Valley’s lone hit.
