MONMOUTH ACADEMY 3, OAK HILL 2

A three-run fourth inning boosted the Mustangs (14-1) over the Raiders (6-8) in Monmouth.

Monmouth has won 11 straight games and is in first place in the Class C South Heal point standings, a few points ahead of Maranacook with one game left — at Dirigo, which defeated Maranacook on Monday.

Oak Hill’s Braden Dubuc led off the game with a double and later scored on an error, and the Raiders went up 2-0 on Kolton Ouellette’s RBI single in the fourth inning.

Monmouth was limited to three hits in the game. That included only one hit, a single by Noah Schultz, in the decisive bottom of the fourth. The first two batters, Levi Laverdiere and Jake Harmon, were hit by pitches. Laverdiere scored the first run on an error, then Harmon came home on Kyle LePage’s RBI ground out. Rory Foyt’s RBI groundout brought in Noah Schultz for the go-ahead run.

Rory Foyt had two hits for the Mustangs. LePage pitched 6 2/3 innings and struck out four while scattering seven hits to earn the win. Reliever Logan LeClair entered the game with two outs and runners at the corners in the seventh, and struck out the only batter he faced to notch a save.

Declan Brackley pitched five innings for Oak Hill, striking out four and allowing two hits and two runs. Ouellette allowed one hit and one run in an inning on the mound.
