Alex Mains hit two homers and drove in five runs to key a 16-hit onslaught by the Knights (4-5) in a Western Maine Conference win in Portland.
Mains also doubled and finished with four hits. Aiden Bean, Will Stanford, Colby Dolley and Damon Martin added with two hits apiece. Dolley and Martin each had a double. Poland plated four runs in the fourth and five in the top of the seventh inning.
Knights pitcher Eliot Rioux tossed a complete-game shutout, striking out nine and scattering six hits over seven innings.
Grady Argereow and Kellen Gardiner each doubled for Waynflete/NYA (6-3).
