Bryson Jack and Sam Walker each had three hits and the Falcons (4-2) jumped to an early lead against the Hawks (4-2) in a five-inning game in Freeport.
Jack drove in four runs and scored three times, while Jacob Cass drove in two and scored three runs for Freeport, which scored five runs in the first and second innings. Liam Emmons hit doubles and scored three runs.
Walker struck out six, walked two and sailed through the first four innings before yielding five runs in the fifth, including a three-run home run to Silas Nielsen.
