SOUTH PORTLAND 6, SCARBOROUGH 1, 10 INNINGS
Hudson Iacuessa and Brady Main combined on a three-hitter, and South Portland scored five runs in the top of the 10th inning to beat Scarborough in a Class A South baseball game Saturday in Scarborough.
Iacuessa pitched the first seven innings and struck out 12 while giving up an unearned run on two hits and three walks. Main struck out four over the final three innings.
Cam Dean took the loss despite striking out eight and allowing only one hit in four innings of relief. All six South Portland runs were unearned.
Iacuessa and Dean led their teams with two hits each.
South Portland, the No. 1 team in the Varsity Maine Top 10, improved to 11-1. Scarborough is 8-4.
