The Bulldogs (2-5) used five- and seven-run outbursts to pull away from the Phoenix (2-5) and earn a five-inning victory in Farmingdale.
Spruce Mountain led 3-0 after an inning and a half. Hall-Dale scored once in the bottom half of the second, then plated five in the third and seven in the fourth.
Logan Norton doubled and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs, Isaac Fogg had three RBI, and Josias Brown had two hits, including a double, and scored three runs. The Bulldogs drew 12 walks.
Hall-Dale starting pitcher Carson Mattice struck out seven in 3 1/3 innings.
Kolby Cotton doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Phoenix.
