Josh Pollis and Zach McLean combined to pitch a five-inning no-hitter for the Falcons (3-1) against the Phoenix (0-3) in Rumford.
Pollis was on the mound for the first four innings and struck out six batters. Thirty-two of the 44 pitches he threw were strikes. McLean pitched the final inning and fanned two batters.
McLean led Mountain Valley with two hits and he drove in two runs. Catcher Kegan Jordan also had two RBI, and Pollis scored three runs.
