The Ramblers (5-4) turned two hits and four walks into four runs, which was enough to defeat the Phoenix (2-7) in Winthrop.
Winthrop trailed 3-0 after three innings but scored the final four runs. The Ramblers’ two hits were a triple by Clyde Moody and a single by Carter Rand.
Wyatt Grant pitched all seven innings for Winthrop, striking out nine, walking one and scattering seven hits.
Spruce Mountain’s Trent Lovewell tossed a compete-game two-hitter with four walks and 10 strikeouts. Brody Veilleux was 3 for 3 at the plate with an RBI and a run, and Kolby Cotton recorded two hits.
