Brennan Tabor had a single, a double and drove in a run to lead the Trojans (6-2) over the Bulldogs (0-10) at Portland.
The Trojans had just five hits but took advantage of 10 walks and three errors.
Thornton opened a 7-0 lead in the fourth inning and limited the Bulldogs to four hits. Cameron Kirby, the Trojans’ starter, struck out seven in three innings.
