Derek Couture pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and no walks and added two hits at the plate as the Purple Panthers topped the Mustangs in Thorndike.
Oliver LeVan (two doubles), Felix Chapa (triple, single) and Harper Hubbard (two singles) also had two hits each for Waterville (1-1). The Panthers scored five runs in the sixth to break open a 1-1 game.
Brady Bryant had a triple, a double and an RBI for Mount View (0-3).
