The Knights (6-6) plated seven runs in the fifth inning and held off a late rally by the Wildcats (3-6) to earn a Class B South victory in Poland.
Landon Cooper belted three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Poland, which trailed 4-1 heading into the bottom of the fifth. Alex Mains doubled twice and drove in two runs.
Cooper also pitched the first five innings and earned the win with five strikeouts.
York scored three runs in the top of the seventh, but Knights reliever Aiden Bean stopped the rally to earn a save.
The Wildcats were led by Robbie Hanscom’s two doubles. Orrin Culp Dechant had a double and a single.
