at Portland Expo

Saturday, February 14, 2026

Sanford 62, Bonny Eagle 48

Dylan Gendron scored 13 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, Luke Gendron added 16, and the second-seeded Spartans (18-1) took down the No. 10 Scots (11-9) to reach the Class A South semifinals.

It’s Sanford’s first playoff victory on a neutral floor since 1993, when the team advanced to the Western Maine final.

Sanford took a 30-17 lead into halftime, but the Scots narrowed the deficit to five with 6:13 left in the game. Dylan Gendron then knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers, and after Ryan Alexander hit another, Gendron made one more to push the lead to 53-36.

Bonny Eagle was led by 16 points and eight rebounds from Max Bouchard. Colin Moran and Logan Sturgis scored eight points apiece.
