at Cross Insurance Center, Bangor

Friday, February 13, 2026

Gardiner 62, Erskine Academy 29

Brady Atwater finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Gardiner boys basketball team to a 62-29 win against Erskine Academy in a Class B North quarterfinal Friday at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

“I love just bringing it to the rim, getting myself going,” said Atwater. “Even if my shot’s not getting on right, as long as I’m bringing it to the hoop, getting it going there, on both the defensive end and offensive end, it brings our team together as one unit.”

The sixth-seeded Eagles (14-5) were limited to six points in the second quarter and four points in the third quarter, allowing third-seeded Gardiner (16-3) to create separation on the scoreboard.

“For us, everything starts on the defensive end,” Gardiner coach Aaron Toman said. “When we get stops and rebounds and look to run, we play with a certain energy, and we were able to do that at times tonight. So that energy, and getting easy points … is really what you want.”

Brady Peacock added 12 points for Gardiner.

Carter Ulmer led Erskine with 11 points.
