Dylan Jewett scored 14 of his 30 points in the third quarter as the top-seeded Phoenix (17-2) advanced to the Class C South semifinals with a victory over the ninth-seeded Warriors (10-10) at the Augusta Civic Center.
After trailing 28-18 at halftime, Wells cut its deficit to 31-27 in the third before Jewett rattled off nine straight points. After an Abe Medrano bucket for Wells, Jewett scored the next five points to give Spruce Mountain a 45-29 lead after three quarters.
Cai Dougher got 10 of his 16 points in the opening quarter to help the Phoenix to an 18-10 advantage.
Darion Lemont finished with 13 points for Wells.
