A balanced scoring attack lifted the third-seeded Bulldogs (13-6) past the sixth-seeded Bucks (8-11) in a Class D South quarterfinal.
Finn Haynie led Madison with 19 points, while Brayden Furbush scored 15. Davyn Nichols added 14 points, and Jacob Linkletter chipped in with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
The Bulldogs built a 37-23 halftime lead, but Buckfield pulled within 44-36 when Trenton Haskell scored six of his 18 points early in the third quarter.
Nate Thompson recorded a double-double for Buckfield with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Madison advances to play No. 2 Monmouth in the semifinals Wednesday morning.
