Sophia Auger’s hat trick and Evelyne Roper’s two goals propelled No. 2 Biddeford/Thornton Academy/Kennebunk/Wells (14-5) past the seventh-seeded Rangers (2-17) in a South quarterfinal at Biddeford Ice Arena.

Roper also had two assists and Auger recorded one.

Corinne Ramunno contributed and a goal and two assists, Avery Kurkjy and Florence Radford also scored, and Mariah Villandry made seven saves.

The Tigers will take on third-seeded Gorham/Bonny Eagle/Massabesic/Westbrook/Fryeburg in the regional semifinals at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland on Saturday.

Charley Louie stopped 25 shots for Greely/Gray-New Gloucester.
