The Ice Cats (5-7) overcame a strong start by the Witches (5-7-1) to earn a win at Chalmers Ice Arena in Bridgton.

Brewer/Lawrence/Skowhegan scored the first three goals, including two 17 seconds apart by Grady Vandistine.

Fryeburg/Lake Region/Oxford Hills began its comeback with a goal by Cohen Carter with 21 seconds left in the first.

Gunner Truman and Kadan Neureuther each scored in the second period to even the score, and Willie Svinhufvud and Mark Mageles added third-period goals.

Carter and Truman tallied two assists apiece, while Neureuther and Mageles each had one.

Grant Cram scored the Witches’ first goal. Dom Stecher, Josh Hitchings and Baylon Cram each recorded an assist.

Ice Cats goalie Charlie Herrick stopped 26 of the 29 shots he faced, while Ethan Hanscom made 29 saves for the Brewer co-op.
