Ava Downs made an astounding 25 digs to help push the Broncos (1-3) past the Blue Devils (0-3) in four sets in Hampden.

Lewiston won the opening set 25-14 before Hampden Academy swept the next three, 25-12, 25-22, 25-18.

Eva Cherry had seven assists for the Broncos, while Piper Tracy and Kate Adams tallied four kills apiece.

Kaitlyn Shannon compiled 11 kills, five digs and three aces for Lewiston. Nadifo Heban had five kills, three aces and a block, and Ella Gahagan and Mika Torres added seven and six assists, respectively.
