Ryan Essex and Deshawn Toussaint each hit a pair of free throws in the final 30 seconds to lift the Hawks (1-6) over the Mustangs (0-6) in Waterboro.
Ronan Garrett scored 11 points, and Essex and Toussaint each finished with nine for Marshwood.
Massabesic, which rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to tie the game at 30-30, got 11 points from Kyle Abbott and 10 from Andrew Boulanger.
