Olivia Mastine and Aubrey Kachnovich led the charge as the Phoenix (1-0) opened the season with a shutout win over the Falcons (0-1) in Rumford.

Mastine scored four goals, while Kachnovich caged one goal and assisted on two of Mastine’s scores. Avery Bessey also recorded an assist. Mallory Clark and Kyleigh Marcotte combined to stop two shots for Spruce Mountain.

Mountain Valley goalie Brooke Brown made 22 saves.
