Brooke Bodnar scored 16 points and Sienna Eldred got seven of her 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Golden Trojans (1-3) held off the Red Storm (1-3) in Scarborough.
Thornton held a small lead for most of the contest, though the Red Storm briefly pulled even early in the fourth quarter.
Maise McIntosh also reached double figures for Thornton, finishing with three 3-pointers and 10 points.
Scarborough’s Helena Bukarac sank five 3-pointers en route to 19 points. Eva Alvarez added 15 and Ella Herzberg had 10.
