Connor Fell scored the game-winning goal for the Wildcats (1-0) with 4:27 remaining against the Eagles at Sid Watson Arena on the campus of Bowdoin College in Brunswick.

Luke Douris had a goal and an assist in the first period to give York a 2-0 advantage. Brandon Biggs had the other goal.

Garek Theriault cut the deficit to 2-1 with under five minutes remaining the middle frame.

Bradley Carr scored before the second period buzzer for a 3-1 lead.

Gavin Wallace and Dylan Richards scored 63 seconds apart in the third period for the Mt. Ararat co-op to tie the game at 3-3 before Fell’s goal.

Jacob Fullerton had two helpers for the Eagles.

Aidan McQuaide stopped 11 shots in the win and Kai Stockford made 30 saves in the loss.
