OXFORD HILLS 14, MT. BLUE 4, 5 INNINGS
The Vikings (4-0) overcame the Cougars’ (1-3) fast start to remain unbeaten with a five-inning victory in Paris.
Mt. Blue opened the game with a four-run top of the first, but Oxford Hills responded with seven runs in the bottom half of the opening frame. The Vikings then piled on two more runs in the second and three in the third.
Kyeria Morse, Jadyn Campbell, Karyssa Morse and Natasha Child each drove in two runs for Oxford Hills, which is ranked fifth in the Varsity Maine poll.
Kyeria Morse struck out seven batters in 4 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win.
Ava Davis drove in two runs and Molly Hambrick had a double for Mt. Blue.
