Emilia Michaud hit a two-run single during a four-run third inning and added a two-run inside-the-park homer in the sixth at Old Orchard Beach to help the Seagulls (3-0) hand North Yarmouth Academy (6-1) its first loss.
After Jordan Nash hit a two-run homer to center to give NYA a 2-0 lead in the first, the Panthers made it 3-0 in the third on Isabelle Hinkley’s run-scoring single. Old Orchard then scored four in the third on two-run singles by Michaud and Jordyn Methot.
After NYA pulled within 7-5 in the fifth, Old Orchard added two in the sixth.
