MASSABESIC 2, MARSHWOOD/BERWICK/TRAIP 1, 5 INNINGS
Madison Proctor allowed an unearned run in five innings to lift Massabesic to a 2-1 win over Marshwood/Berwick/Traip in the first game of a softball doubleheader Saturday in Waterboro.Â
Evie Bennett had two hits, including a double, drove in four runs and scored three to lead the Hawks to a 12-6 win in Game 2.
In the first game, Proctor allowed four hits, with no walks and four strikeouts. She also had a double. Devenny Brickett and Audrey Schroder each added a double.
Laynie Leblanc hit a double for the Marshwood co-op. Lexey Bouchard allowed two runs on four hits while striking out one and walking five.
In Game 2, Zoe Carnes had three hits and three RBI, while Laurali Shisler added two hits and three RBI for the Marshwood co-op.
Ella Gerrish had a double, triple and home run for Massabesic.
