After trailing by 11 runs early in the game, the Warriors (1-2) scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off with a victory against Cape Elizabeth (0-2) at Wells.
The Capers opened up an 15-4 lead before Wells scored 12 in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Warriors added three more runs in the fifth for a 19-15 advantage, but Cape rallied back with two runs in the sixth and two more in the top of the seventh to tie the game.
Abby Proctor and Katherine Piveronas of Cape Elizabeth and Stella Pucciarelli of Wells had four hits each as the teams combined for 35 hits, 20 by the Capers. Finn Gilbert and Kayleigh Hanson added three hits for Cape, and Payton Fazzina had three for Wells.
