Sean Sullivan pitched a complete game and drove in the winning run in the top of the eighth inning as the 10th-seeded Knights (9-8-1) upset the second-seeded Red Riots (15-2) in a Class A North quarterfinal in South Portland.
Sullivan hit an RBI single to lift Noble to a spot in the regional semifinals. He allowed two hits, struck out four and walked two on 97 pitches.
Hudson Iacuessa pitched a three-hitter for South Portland, the No. 2 team in the Varsity Maine poll. He struck out 14 and walked one.
