Maddie Fitzgerald drove in four runs with a home run, a double and a single, and the second-seeded Wildcats (16-1) advanced to the Class B South semifinals by defeating the seventh-seeded Falcons (11-7) in a six-inning game in York.

The Wildcats collected 17 hits, including three each by Nya Avery and Sara Hanscom. Winning pitcher Sarah Orso and Piper Catanese both added two hits and two RBI.

Orso allowed only two hits and struck out six.

Maddy Brown hit a double for Mountain Valley.
